ClaireResearch Coordinator, Claire Westmacott, MPH

Prior to earning her Master of Public Health from the University of Edinburgh, Claire graduated from the University of Toronto’s Environmental Studies program and was awarded the Douglas Pimlott graduate scholarship, a prize given to a student with outstanding academic achievement and a demonstrated commitment to social involvement in environmental issues.

Claire tailored her studies to suit the needs of a growing interest in environmental health and social justice. In 2012, she began working with Tara Zupancic, training in systematic reviews, developmental evaluation and equity-focused research methods. Having previously interned with Foundation for International Development Assistance (FIDA-pcH), an organization providing co-operative opportunities in Haiti, she gained a strong interest in both the global and domestic inequities that inhibit a healthy, sustainable life.
